Setting the Stage for Celebration

Every year, the Southampton 4th of July Parade transforms our historic streets into a vibrant stage of patriotic pride. Our entertainers are the heartbeat of the event, bringing the energy, music, and spectacle that make this the largest and most anticipated parade on Long Island.
From the booming rhythm of brass bands to the precision of dance troupes and the wonder of local performance artists, our entertainers create the soundtrack and spirit for thousands of spectators.

We’re Looking for 2026 Talent!

For the upcoming 250th Birthday Celebration of our Nation, we are expanding our lineup to make this our most spectacular year yet. We are specifically seeking:

  • Marching Bands & Brass Ensembles: High-energy groups to keep the rhythm of the march.
  • Dance & Performance Troupes: Choreographed groups that bring color and movement to the route.
  • Cultural Performers: Help us celebrate the diverse heritage of our community.
  • Novelty Acts: Magicians, jugglers, stilt-walkers, and unique entertainers who engage with the crowd.

Entertainer Frequently Asked Questions

We welcome a wide variety of acts! Typical performers include marching bands, fife and drum corps, cultural dance troupes, cheer squads, stilt walkers, and novelty acts. Our primary goal is high energy and patriotic spirit.

  • The Southampton 4th of July Parade is a community-run event. While many local groups participate for the exposure and community spirit, we do have a limited budget for professional marching bands and specialized acts. Please indicate your fee requirements on the application form for committee review.

The route is approximately 1.5 miles long. It begins at the Southampton Railroad Station, winds through the heart of the Village, and concludes at Agawam Park. Performers should be prepared to maintain their routine or music for the duration of the march.

  • While the parade is continuous, there is a Main Reviewing Stand located on Main Street. This is the primary spot for a brief (60-second) specialized performance or “salute” for the judges and cameras.

Entertainers are asked to check in by 8:00 AM. Specialized parking is designated for buses and equipment vans near the start line at the Train Station. Detailed maps and parking passes will be emailed to accepted acts two weeks before the event.

Absolutely! If your act requires a stationary platform (like a rock band or a choir), you may provide your own float. Please ensure your float dimensions are included in your application for clearance purposes.
